What began as a wild idea nearly three years ago has become one of Minnesota's hottest metal and rock cover bands. Tearing up
the Midwest since March 2005, Rockfist!
showcases the talents of accomplished musicians with many years
of combined experience in well-known Midwest bands such as: Conditioned Response, Epicurean, Civilian, Red Room, and
Breathin' Sand.

 Rick Forsgren--Vocals, Guitar
Gear: Two turntables and a microphone…oh, and a guitar.
Front man, singer and guitarist Rick Forsgren brings over 15 years of professional know-how to every show. His previous experience includes: Conditioned Response, Pavlov's Dogs, Daze Reason, and Alley Cat Sally. Rick's vocal abilities are in a word--"unparalleled". He has a four and a half octave range and has the vocal flexibility to cover almost any style.
Rick conveys an enthusiasm and passion from the stage that makes the audience sit up and take notice. Also an accomplished guitarist, Rick holds the copyrights to over 20 pieces of music and has been published internationally with the release of 3 CDs during his stint with Conditioned Response. |
 Ben Bantam--Guitar

Ben is a super-secret Ninja man! We don't know anything about his upbringing or history. Just one day, he leaped from behind a stack of crates, his star-shaped guitar in hand and away we went!

 Ryan Malmstrom--Keyboards, Vocals

Influences: Jon Oliva, Josh Silver, David Bryan and many more
Ryan's parents ensured that his piano playing talent didn't go to waste and provided regular lessons growing up. He's never stopped and now, he brings over ten years of professional synth and piano expertise to Rockfist. Ryan takes the vocal lead throughout the show with songs by Faith No More, Ozzy, Twisted Sister and more.
He was also a founding member of local black metal bands Epicurean and Lorde of All Desires. Never one to rest on his laurels, Ryan's independent ambient music project, Shadowchase, is also currently in development.
His fun-loving nature adds to the energy and dynamism of every show. Come pet his rubber chicken! You'll see what we mean!

 Chris Crooker--Drums

Hailing from Minneapolis MN, Chris comes from a family of musicians and music lovers. With the encouragement of his family, he started out banging away on a snare and hi-hat when he was eight years old. With formal lessons off and on through his teens, he knew at an early age that playing drums wasn’t just something he was going to do, but was what defined him. His musical literacy is phenomenal and he brings a wealth of passion and talent to Rockfist.
He also adds his hard-rocking, jazz and funk infused style to Red Room, another hot Minneapolis band.

 Kenner--Bass, Vocals

Influences: The Beatles, Iron Maiden
Kenner has been playing since 1982. Heavily influenced by the Beatles and Iron Maiden, he brings a hypnotic and driving rhythm and enthusiastic stage presence to Rockfist. Local bands he's played bass and sang with include Alley Cat Salley, Fear Itself, and Fine Red Brown. He is also currently a member of Breathin' Sand.
Kenner absolutely loves being on stage (almost as much as grilling, fishing, and drinking beer). He takes the vocal lead throughout the show with songs by Cheap Trick, Megadeth, and more.
